Because it's always day 1? No pattern intended (keep your expectations low, I don't know that daily posts will happen).

Well Baby's due date has come and gone without labor. One thing is for sure, this little one is about as stubborn as Mom. After this week's doctor's appointment all we know is that the end is in sight. My doctor confirmed that we will be at the hospital by end of next week regardless of spontaneous labor. So to avoid an induction, I'm continuing all the the things that are supposed to move things along. If you think of something unique that isn't easily searchable on the internet, send it my way.

This week Zoë has decided to remind us of what newborn parent life will be like. She must have eaten something that is causing frequent urgent trips outside overnight. I only wish that the City of Seattle would approve our back deck permit (thanks to COVID and poor timing with our back yard project, we've been without a back deck for the last 7 months). It would be nice to not have to leash the dog every time she needs to go outside. Regardless of the situation, I'm grateful for my prepartum leave as I've been taking many of the early shifts so that Bryce is refreshed for a day of work.

For now, wish us luck that things move along this week.
